There was a beech tree and a birch tree growing side-by-side and in between them was a sapling. The beech tree asked the birch tree, "Is that a son of a birch or a son of a beech?" The birch tree said it didn't know.
About then a woodpecker landed on the birch tree and it asked the woodpecker, "Is that the son of a birch or the son of a beech? The woodpecker took a few minutes and then said, "I don't think it is a son of a birch or a son of a beech, but it is the best piece of ash I ever stuck my pecker into." |
